"Giving Children a Better Future"
The Preamble
Nahwera Foundation was born out of a deep concern for the lack of a platform for vulnerable children to voice the challenges they face in society. We recognize that many children are underserved and lack the necessary support systems to thrive.
We believe that by committing to progressive community sensitization about children's rights, we can tackle these challenges head-on. Our foundation is committed to facilitating and accelerating the fight against poverty, diseases, and the abuse of rights for young people in vulnerable families.
Guided by our founder's vision, we realize that we have great potentials and abilities that must be focused toward realizing a society where young people grow to their highest heights.
Vision Statement
To have a community where every vulnerable child has access to education, health care, nutrition, shelter and opportunities for a better future.
Mission Statement
To support vulnerable children by providing education, nutritious meals, safe shelter, medical care, basic needs and a safe and loving shelter for improved wellbeing and development while empowering communities to protect and support children.

Integrity
NAHWERA- FOUNDATION shall be trust worthy, and do what is right even if no one is watching. Our staff use resources responsibly, tell the truth, keep promises, and remain consistent in actions and decisions.
Compassion
We care deeply about the wellbeing of children and families. We understand their struggles, helping without judgment, showing kindness in all interactions, and providing emotional support.
Accountability
We take responsibility for our actions, accepting correction and learning from mistakes. We keep proper records and report to members, donors, and authorities to maintain trust.
Respect for Children’s Rights
We treat every child with dignity and protect them from harm. We listen to children’s needs, providing a safe environment and protecting them from neglect, abuse, or exploitation following Uganda’s child protection laws.
Transparency
Our personnel are open about how decisions are made and how funds are used. We share information freely, allowing members to understand the organization’s activities.
Community Participation
We involve local people in planning, decision-making, and activities by encouraging volunteers and working with parents, local leaders, and schools.
Nature of the Organization
NAHWERA- FOUNDATION is a non-profit making, non-governmental, non-tribalistic, social, economic and non-denominational organization registered in Uganda.
Our Headquarters
Makanga Golf Cell, Central Division, Kabale District, Uganda.
As we intend to extend our activities worldwide, we are open to establishing branch offices in different countries that agree to our operational activities.
